01 / THE CHALLENGE

The problem worth solving.

Appointment lengths, office locations, payments, and calendar updates must stay consistent. Two people choosing overlapping time slots—or a delayed payment webhook—can create a real scheduling problem.

02 / THE SOLUTION

How it comes together.

A Django website pairs public service information with a native booking calendar and a private staff schedule. Clients can select appointment payment or online Stripe Checkout. Confirmation email, calendar invitations, and Google Calendar synchronization carry the reservation into the practitioner’s daily workflow.

03 / ENGINEERING DECISIONS

The details make the difference.

01

Reserve the entire appointment

Unique 15-minute reservation cells prevent overlapping appointments of different lengths, including concurrent booking attempts.

02

Reconcile payment state

Verified Stripe events and reconciliation handle delayed or missing responses. Slot holds are not released solely because a browser timer expires.

03

Preserve what was booked

Appointments retain their original office assignment and charged price even when the service catalog or weekly schedule changes.

04 / WHAT IT DELIVERS

From the idea to the experience.

An implemented booking system with service administration, variable appointment lengths, office-specific availability, payment choices, and retryable calendar and email operations.
